Safe Outside Play Project 2007
We raised a total of £16500 for the safe outside play project. Of this, £5000 came as a grant from Dorset County council to make the garden more accessible and £5519 came from Awards for All to provide a more inspiring play area. Additionally we received £1000 in two seperate amounts from Holt Football Club
On 9th November 2007 we layed an all weather, impact absorbing surface that is accessible to all children and inspires their imagination through innovative, child led play. The company who provided the surface were Playgrounds (UK).
In Sept 2007 we received £1967 from the Local Network Fund which we used to purchase equipment for the garden. This included a new play house, sand pit and water play areas as well as some pedal toys for the newly laid track/ road layout
Skip to the Loo Appeal 2006
During 2005 and 2006 we fund-raised and applied for grants to allow us to build an extension, toilets and an accessible entrance. In total, £53447 was raised which allowed us to complete the work in the summer holidays of 2006.
Our thanks go to Dorset Surestart, East Dorset District Council, Talbot Village Trust and Awards for All as well as Holt Parish Council for their invaluable grants which enabled the project to take place. The building work was undertaken by S J Barker Building Services Ltd, a local contractor who provided an excellent job at a reasonable price.
