Parental Involvement

The involvement of parents/carers is essential to St James Cottage.  Our voluntary management committee is predominantly made up of parents/carers.  It is the life blood of new ideas and enthusiasm that makes St James Cottage the friendly, welcoming childcare provision that it is today.

We ensure that:

• All new parents are aware of our systems and policies.

   

• Parents/carers are encouraged to join the management committee.

   

• Parents are regularly informed of their child’s progress.

   

• Parents are invited to contribute their skills and knowledge to the activities of St James Cottage.

   

• Parents are fully informed about the activities at St James Cottage.

   

• Parents/carers have the opportunity to learn about the curriculum and young children learning both in nursery and at home.

   

• Parents have all signed the Parental Agreement.
