Notification to OFSTED

Aim
As a registered child-care provide, St James Cottage has a duty to notify OFSTED when certain events occur.
Practice
This is not an exhaustive list but covers the main occurrences; It is better to contact OFSTED if in doubt.
1. Any change of person on the management committee. (After the AGM in the Autumn term, OFSTED must be notified of new members by completing a DC2/ CRB form)
2. Any proposal to change the hours during which childcare is provided.
3. Any change to the premises from which childcare is provided which may affect the space available to children. This could include structural changes, an extension, outside fencing or a pond
4. Any change in our name or address.
5. Any change in the name or registration number of a charity or any subsequent organisation responsible for providing care
6. Any change in the address of premises on which childcare is provided.
7. Any criminal offence committed by the registered provider (any person on the committee) after the time of registration.
